 Heart Attack Medications

Patients who have had a heart attack should usually receive aspirin, a drug known as a beta blocker (such as atenolol, metoprolol, and others), a cholesterol lowering drug such as Zocor (simvastatin) or Lipitor (atorvastatin), and often an “ACE” inhibitor (such as lisinopril, benazepril, and others).
