Brian M. Carty, MD, MSPH is a
practicing internist in El Paso, Texas. He has an MD from East
Carolina University School of Medicine, ranked sixth among US medical
schools for primary care by the 2007 US News and World Report Guide
to America’s Best Graduate Schools. His MSPH (master’s degree in
public health) is from the University of North Carolina School of
Public Health, tied with Harvard for second place among US graduate
schools of public health.
Dr. Carty completed residency training
in internal medicine at the University of Utah Hospitals in Salt Lake
City, Utah, a highly regarded program. He also completed a research
fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda,
Maryland. He scored in the top 5% on the Internal Medicine board
certification exam in 1987 and scored in the top 10% on the
recertification exam in 2005.
